Sasha

Sasha was previously known as Delaware #14 and came from MidAtlantic Samoyed Rescue after a seizure in Delaware. She had a problem with her rear legs, caused because her mother had the parasite Neospora Caninum while pregnant. Sasha was with us until she passed in July, 2021.

  • Total resignation.
  • She can't stand up to be rinsed, so the tub was her reward.
  • The other dogs' feet were dirty, but Sasha must have laid in the dirt while they dug.
  • We couldn't get a good picture of her belly, but this gives an idea.
  • This is the section of yard where they were. Yesterday it was green grass. Of all the dogs we never expected to dig, Sasha was the top of the list.
  • Sasha was playing with her Golden friends Lady and Lucy when they found some mole hills and explored them.
  • Our grandkids are as active and busy (and noisy) as any kids of their age can be. Sasha hung out with them most of the time, taking breaks when she felt overwhelmed but always coming back for more.. Kids left to right: Andrew (4½) holding Margaret (10 months), Jonathan (3½), and Elizabeth (2).
  • This never gets old. The horses usually lie down one at a time, while one stands guard. When Sasha is around they both doze at the same time.
  • Sasha watches a repairman work on the hot tub as though his work is the most fascinating thing she ever saw. Needless to say, she made another friend.
  • She loves her rope and packs it around the house and yard.
  • It's pretty much unanimous that she is a cutie.
  • For the most part Sasha can keep up with her.
  • Lady seems to slow a little, and checks to be sure Sasha is following. Sasha can run surprisingly fast.
  • After playing hard they take a break and enjoy each other's company.
  • Sasha plays with Lady whenever she visits.
  • Sasha is more than comfortable in the snow.
  • Charlie and Sasha in the snow.
  • Sasha tries to get Charlie to come play in the snow. This really shows the difference in size. Sasha is 32 pounds, while Charlie is about 55 pounds.
  • Sasha seems to enjoy the snow.
  • Sasha, dozing away after her anesthesia. She was spayed today (12/12/12).
